A Bit About Me
Hi! Nice to meet you, I'm Al. I grew up in a small town on a medium-sized island on the West Coast of Canada. I love to write the kind of stories that I wish I could find on the shelf growing up. I currently reside in Vancouver, B.C. where I work as a freelance writer and story editor.
I’ve been working in the animation industry for the past ten years, both in creative and production-based roles. You might have seen my writing or story development work on Disney Channel, Netflix, Cartoon Network, and Branded YouTube. My favorite thing about working in animation is all the different folks who get to infuse their creativity into the final product.
I also write speculative fiction stories with LGBTQIA+ characters.
My most recent project is a novella called “To The Flame”
It’s a supernatural story about a non-binary mothman and a hapless college student meeting on their West Virginia campus.
